I couldn’t recommend Dave’s drum camps enough! Whether it was the chilled-out hangs or the in-depth classes, I enjoyed every second of it! I can’t wait for the next one.
Dave ensured that all levels of drummer were catered for, it was all our journey and Dave created and maintained such a positive atmosphere throughout the camp. A great camp and I learned so much from a great teacher.
Dave’s camp was an incredible and impactful experience. I learned so much in such a short amount of time and being surrounded by such a passionate and talented group of drummers created an inspiring environment that pushed me to grow.

How long are the camps?
Each camp lasts three days. The day starts at 9.30am and runs until 6pm, with a break for lunch and refreshments.
How much are the camps?
The camp is £495, and a £100 deposit is required to secure your space. The remaining balance is due 60 days before the start of the camp.
Please note that due to the nature of the events, all payments are non-refundable or transferable.
Where is it?
Camps take place in the picturesque Scottish village of Ratho. Peaceful, serene and right next to Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh, it is the perfect setting for my camps.
How do I get there?
You can easily get to the camps by plane, train or automobiles!
Edinburgh Airport is a busy international airport which is easily accessible from anywhere in the world and only a short taxi ride away from the camp.
You can also get into Edinburgh by train and then tram out to the camps.
There is plenty of parking available should you choose to drive.
For more travel questions then please email camps@davemajormusic.com
Where can I stay?
You are spoiled for choice of accommodation for the camps. There are plenty of options both within the village or very nearby
My recommendations are –
The Bridge Inn – Traditional Scottish accommodation, award-winning food and drink and a 5-minute walk from the camp.
The Lost Shore – Europe’s largest indoor surfing centre with a large selection of 1 to 4 bed lodges available (perfect to share with other campers). A short walk to the camp and perfect if you want a spot of surfing with your drumming!
There is also a large selection of airport hotels available. These include Hilton Edinburgh Airport & Moxy Edinburgh Airport.
If you need any help finding accommodation or with travel arrangements then just get in touch – camps@davemajormusic.com
What’s included in the camp?
Over 20 hours of tuition over 3 days
All the equipment you need. 2 real kits, practice setups for everyone. No need to drag your own practice pad and stand with you. Just bring sticks!
Refreshments, snacks and lunch provided throughout the day.
- Camp welcome pack with workbook, practice diary and goodies from camp sponsors including Sonor Drums, Evans Drumheads and others
What is not included in the camp?
Beyond travel and accommodation, the only additional costs are breakfast and evening meals. Most accommodation can be booked with breakfast included and evening meals should be in the region of £20-£30 p/p. Please plan accordingly.
